Meningococcal infection is an infectious disease, the causative bacterium of meningococcal meningitis is Neisseria meningitidis, which is usually reside asymtomatically in the human nasopharynx, are easily transmitted to close contacts by respiratory droplets.
Infants aged 6 weeks to 6 months:
A total of 3 injections are required. The first two doses should be separated by a minimum of two months, followed by a booster dose after 12 months of age.
Infants aged 6 to 12 months:
A total of 2 injections are required, separated by a minimum of two months. The second booster dose is administered after 12 months of age.
Children aged 1 year or older:
Only 1 injection is required.
